i used to have super long hair when i was little. it was difficult to do with a perm, and really expensive, some of it was breaking, and other pieces i pulled out. i didn't care back then, now it is growing back, but yeah well afro curly hair, has a lot of shrinkage. so it takes more time to show length unless i press it straight. why do people assume once someone cuts their hair it can't grow back, or that black people can't have long hair. i rarely see a real black woman with long straight hair, but i have seen a lot of black men and women with long afros and dreads, i guess its because they aren't using chemicals. it isn't that black people are genetically inferior that our hair can't grow. its the media that is doing this right. i mean its the pressure to chemically process our hair, right? why do people assume black people's hair can't grow long, or long hair that a black person has is a weave, its dumb. black people can grow long hair, even if it takes time. our hair an grow.
Why do people assume black people's hair can't grow long?
Do they assume that?? No-one remember Bob Marley any more?
Why do people assume black people's hair can't grow long?
We have long hair they just assume it's fake. Black girls can have long hair but b/c of our texture, it's hard to keep straight w/o a relaxer. Most wear weaves b/c they can have a straight hairstyle w/o relaxing, and some cut theirs short b/c it's easier to deal with. Report It

ANYONE in the World can have long hair, we're all humans after all. Black ppl are the 1st/2nd race of ppl on this planet %26amp; they're 100% all natural from head to toe %26amp; YES Black/Afro Hair is for real! Report It
Why do people assume black people's hair can't grow long?
if u want the absolute real answer here's my email me. But part of it is bcus, of not embacing ur roots. We put all these cemicals in our hair. U notice ur hair was super long whn u was little. But that first perm, your hair is already in pain. Report It
Why do people assume black people's hair can't grow long?
because people are stupid!!! lol
Why do people assume black people's hair can't grow long?
Because not many black people have long hair so we assume that it doesn't grow because what a coincidence that many black people dont have much hair.
Why do people assume black people's hair can't grow long?
because we always hear black people sayn', "girl, i love my weave."
Why do people assume black people's hair can't grow long?
It takes a long time as our hair grows slowly. As a black man, I look damn good with short hair and so I keep it that way. I also look good with long hair but; and this is where the problem comes in, medium length is hard to pull off for me. So, since my hair takes so long to grow, to get it long means spending a lot of time in that difficult medium length stage. So I'm back to keeping it short or spending more time than I want to with braids or other solutions that don't work for me. I'm guessing that I'm not the only one.
Why do people assume black people's hair can't grow long?
well, what can i say sista! i guess they just haven't seen enough black people around them. and jus cuz some of us get our hair braided or extended, they think we do that cuz our hair won't grow long!
Why do people assume black people's hair can't grow long?
There are always a few exceptions from a certain ethnicity, where one person out of a a thousand has hair which defies the standard of hair for that particular race. I don't think its a matter of individuals of African decent not being able to grow long hair , but it being a tad bit more difficult process.
Hair is hair and hair going to grow. So whoever says you can't grow your hair is just plain stupid.
It would only be valid if they are baseing it on someone balding.
