hey, i got long hair,im hearly 6 1' and my hair is below my lower spine region..i just some styling tips, that require less effort and time...all i use is gell and 3 hair scruncies to tie it up..lol..HELP!

hey.. i have really long hair too. Is yours straight and easy to manage? If it is then i reccommend buying a few hair clips.. not to do anything complicated with, but a few small ones can scoop it out of your face slightly and give it more of a natural curve at the top of the length of hair.

One of my favourite things to do is to pull hair from the front (near the forehead) backwards and secure with a pretty (larger) hair slide, grip or clip. This can look mumsey but if your hair is long and straight or wavy it can look chic and more interesting than just leaving it hang. A pretty, glittery clip at the back is a good idea.. not just a boring standard brown or black one.

Oh and I also am a fan of sidepartings.. they complement long hair well.

first i would like to say you are so lucky to be tall and have long hair i would say just wear it down straight but if your like me you just sometimes need to get it out of your way so i would reccomend 2 long french plaits, half up half down,or a headband

I had a long hair too.but I cut it last year and now I regret.I suggest you not cutting it.just the end of it and don't use gels so much.your hair will start falling soon.if you decided to cut it , do it in a way that doesn't reduce the height of it... :D

Ally had some nice ideas. Also look in hair style magazines for ideas. I would suggest though, that you cut off a few inches and donate it to 'Locks of Love'. an organisation that donates hair pieces to children who have lost their hair due to different reasons.

Then your hair will probably have more body and you can get some nice layers cut in.......and you will feel good about yourself for doing your part!

I would get a trim. Just the ends. I used to have waist length hair but recently got it cut up to my shoulders. It's so much easier. You'll be happy when the time comes to donate it. It also depends on whether you have straight or curly hair. If you have curly or wavy hair let it air dry with a little product in it so it doesn't get to frizzy. Never brush through your hair always use a comb, this helps with the frizz.

If you are growing it out for locks of love then it is plenty long enough. Going that long between regular trimmings isn't good for your hair. If you want to wear it down I suggest going and donating it and getting a cute cut that is easier to manage.

My hair is about waist length and it aggrivates me like crazy, I keep saying I'm gonna get it cut. I take pony tail holders and put them about 2 or 3 inches apart all the way down. You could braid it to keep it back. I do the twist and clip, lol. For split ends. Alberta V05 Hot oil is the best.

My hair isn't that long, but it is long (about mid-back). I do a weekly deep conditioning mask to prevent from split ends and frizz. Also before you blow dry or air dry your hair, apply a frizz or smoothing balm to prevent unruly hair. The best way to make hair curly is to use a curling iron, however that would take a lot of time. Try spritzing hair with a curl enhancing spray or a beachy wave formula. If you don't have time in the morning, take a shower at night and either

1. apply a smoothing balm to your wet hair and let it dry overnight and then style in the morning (straighen, curl, briad, etc.)

2. let hair dry in a towel for 45 minutes and then blow dry. In the morning style your hair

3. Braid your wet hair at night for lucious waves in the morning

Get a 1/2- 1 inch trim to get rid of dead ends that you may already have to keep hair healthy.

My hair was always like that,now its short but i just straightened it a bit on the kinky parts then i left it and went to school! Curling your hair takes a lot longer then straightening it because you need to heat it up,then curl it which takes a while for long hair,then fix it and spray it with hairspray! So straightening is the best way in the long run unless you have pin straight hair then just lay it back iwth a holding spray and brush it good before you spray it (or you could get a hair cut) A good iron is CHI . Locks of love made only 113 wigs in an entire year, they SELL the majority of the hair received (for extensions) and they do not allow for independent auditing of their financial records. Who knows where the money from selling hair really goes to, somebody's pocket perhaps ?

A lot of hair doesn't even make it Locks of Love, type in "human hair ponytail" on EBay and look at all those listings. That hair is being sold to hair fet*shists.

My hair is semi-straight, semi-wavy naturally, but I straighten it a LOT. it is 2 and a half feet long, and I can't cut it because of religious implications. It is black and slightly frizzy (it doesn't puff out or anything, but it's not totaly smooth). my hair is also very thin, so though it straightens and curls well, there is not much i can do with it. does anyone have any ideas on how to make it look good??

Try this style: Put your hair in a ponytail just above the nape of your neck. Curl the ponytail in 1 inch sections and pin the curls above the ponytail in different sections. This can be dressy when you put the ponytail higher, or casual if you put it lower. I wish I had long hair like you!

Well to thicken it more try a shampoo and conditioner called main and tale its really for horses but people now n days try it. i tried it and my hair is long n thick. But it will dry it out so only use it once or twice a week. you can buy it at any grocery store.

you should use a straightener serum on your hair before so taht your hair will not die.

if you want more bounce then try a mouse and scrunch it im sure since your hair is really long it will take more mousse but it will stay then spray some hairspray when your done.

hello...I have pretty long hair myself (to the small of my back) and I too can't cut it...same reason as you.

if I don't have time at all to style my hair I put it in a "messy bun" as I like to call it...just put you hair in a pony tail, then just grab your hair and bunch it all together...its ok if strands are poking out..thats what a messy bun should look like..then tie your hair like you would a bun...

Or I pin it with a barette...looks professional whe I part my hair to the side then do a half-ponytail and clip it with a barette

theres LOTS of styles you can come up with...you can create your own style...just start messing with your hair and see what you come up with! its just that many others with long hair just don't feel like styling it cause it takes time...and yes...to get the results you want..it WILL take time to get it the way you want it. Trust me...it'll all be worth it!

lol it took me about an hour - i have extensions all the way down to my bum and i love them. my natural hair is shoulder length.

you just need to eat healthy if you want your hair to grow, i know tuna and oily fish generally is a good thing for hair growth. look after it, dont use too much product and avoid blow drying/straightening etc as much as possible. also tie it up at night, a plait is best to avoid it matting at the nape of the neck.

I had the same type of hair. My hair had a slight wave to it, so, I was able to gradually progress to shorter hair. I would highly reccommend that you do this in stages over a period of months.

My hair was right above my butt, I cut it down to an inch above my shoulder into a "bob" cut. Three weeks later, I cut it again into a "chinese bob"--this is best for framing the face. Then finally I went to a "short crop".

It's true, some peoples hair grows faster than others. Mine for example grows almost twice as fast as an average person's hair. Some people have hair that grows slowly.

So last year as the renaissance festival I paid to have my long hair braided into a french crown with some hair still down. OK so I'm 30 years old and have long wavy brown hair, almost butt-length. And I have it in a braid or ponytail 24/7, literally, and usually with a cute little bow or scrunchy. Some people look rediculous in long hair, like my sister in law, she is growing hers out now, and it is all grey and makes her look too old. Just trim it, to get rid of the dead/split ends. Everyone needs one every so often. If you curl the bottom, it will be adorable and won't look so long.

Straighten it and put product in it to make it look really sleek. Take some hair from your top layer, leaving hair by your ears, and back-comb it. The pin it, so it's like Eva Mendes' hair. Experiment - everyone's hair is different. I have long, sometimes straight (humidity makes it frizzy). I've been trying the Sunsilk products - they have one for frizziness... you might wanna check it out.

I've tried using the Dove line hair products. They have a wide variety in styling creams or de-frizzing effect products. They certainly have left my hair feeling silky smooth and non-staticky as well as non frizzy. I just run it through my hair after blow drying. You can also apply it before blow drying too. It doesn't have any of the strong chemical smells, and doesn't harm the hair. Another great brand I recommend is the Marc Anthony line. This brand may be pricier, but it works very well.

If you don't want to use creams or sprays, try simply using a flat iron or hair straightener to keep the frizz down. That method works very well fo rme too.

First of all that Fructis is like washin gour hair with syrup. It always made my hair drab and waited down. get some of that Frizz eaze. It seems oily but all you need is a teeny tiny bit rubbed into your palms and theninto your hair. USe mouse and while it is wet blow dry it straight...using the frizz eaze or equivilant of course. Go to Sally Beauty supply they have a bunch of great products to help.

I have the same prob (it's like we're hair twins!! yay!) and hate it but My mom went to beauty school and taught me this little trick. Put a normal amount of your regular shampoo in your hand then mix it in with baking soda until it's like a pate and use that in your hair. I works really well for me. Straitewning your hair works too. I liked the smoothing milk from garnier but try different products until you find what works for you.

i personally have some of the same problem but my hair isnt curly or wavy.. but very frizzy. i use bedhead frizz control.. but it could be pricy. i buy a bottle and use it whenever i needto but not more than once a day. otherwise i but garnier and loreal products. you should also have a VERY light hairspray such as light hold 2 by loreal or something that will keep the frizz away but will not harden your hair. i answered another similar question and what i suggested ( i do it my self) is to spray your hair with hair spray and brush it in immediately and then IF you desire than you can spray more on after for hold but the brushing it in is VERY important and will DEFINITELY help!! good luck

believe it or not but when the punk movement was at full height back in the 80's most of the punks used eggs to stiffin' up their locks. crack some eggs in a bowl, then wisk it, section your hair, then apply it one section at atime. after you applied it to a section the take a blowdrier and dry the section that was just done. repeat until it is all done.. trust me this will make it stay until you shampoo it out.

It's true, some peoples hair grows faster than others. Mine for example grows almost twice as fast as an average person's hair. Some people have hair that grows slowly.
