My little brother has long hair and needs help?

My brother is 12 years old and his hair is fairly long. My mom wants him to get it cut short like a boys haircut. Now my brother does not want to cut his long hair short. How can i help him and tell mom he doesnt want to have short hair? His hair is down to his lower back.

You could say, "His hair is his hair and he really likes the style it is right now-why should he change that?"

Prove to your mom that your brother is pretty much attached to his haircut and changing it would just make him feel bad.

Long hair is pretty unique on a boy, and if your brother can pull it off, that is very lucky. He really should keep it.

Maybe you could suggest just a trim? It doesn't have to be a SHORT haircut.

And his hair sounds creepy. I'd suggest some layers at least...
