i cut my long hair and i was wondering how long if any length if its too late to donate to locks of love. does it really matter if hair has been lying around or is it too late for anything

Well yea sorry but its' too late. If you want to donate it then you have to get it cut at the locks of love place. They will cut it for you and take the hair right off your head and plus the hair cut is free! %26amp; the least you can donate is 10 inches.

What a disservice, when you really are not aware!!!. I was so nervous that you would be throwing it out as you read that! How sweet of you to even give it a thought.

Besides they are NOT the only charity that does this. I too checked on it and when you read the instructions it does sound like a lot of details....(the LocksofLove site) -or it did then.

I willl try to do some research tomorrow and get back here.

Perhaps by then, people in the know will speak up too.

There are length requests - but hang in there. I was told a couple of different things. ie -stretched..not stretched.

Mine is curly.

But I will say it again -there are often fund raisers in towns where wonderful stylists give of their time and do give cuts for the cause. There is NO ONE MAGICAL PLACE!!!! And yes...considering the need..misinformation makes me very angry. If you don't know what you are speaking about -keep it SHUT!!!! This isn't about which curling iron to use. This is about the opportunity to provide hair to people who ....you know the story!

Its never too late to donate, it just has to be 10 inches and not colored or highlighted. At my salon customers can let us mail it in or they can to it. If its just under 10 inches we mail it in anyways, you never know if sometime they can use it! If you google "Locks of Love" you can find where to mail it to.

Hair has to be at least 10" of length. It doesn't matter if it has been laying around, just send it in if it is long enough! It is a great organization!

try to take it to a Great Clips in your area they should take it and be able to do the necessary paperwork to send it to Locks of Love
