Hi. :)

I'm come to the decision that I am going to grow my hair out long. The problem is I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Right now my hair is about five or six inches long.

I want it to grow out the same length and about to mid back. About how long will that take? If you can give me any advise it will be highly appreciated.

Hair grows at different rates. Mine grows like a weed, yours may be different.

It depends on how fast your hair grows. My son has had long hair since he was about 12 or 13 and still does. When he gets the ends trimmed it grows really fast for a couple of weeks then it slows down. When he first started growing it, he had a crew cut it took about 1 year to get to his belt line. His hair grows fast naturally.

It takes about a half an inch each month. I love long hair myself but I would get the back trimmed about three inches because you will still have long hair but you will look more professional and not look like a girl. I would get your hair layered from 5 inches in the front to 3 inches in the back.

I don't know how long it would take, but if you are going to grow your hair long I think you should get it cut about 12" and give it to the Locks of Love.
